Genie in the Magic Lamp

 


This tutorial is my own creation and was written by me on the 22nd January 2012. Any resemblance to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
You will need a good knowledge of Paint shop pro
Supplies needs
Paint Shop Pro – I am using psp9 but It can be done in any PSP
Tube of choice, I am using Elias Chatzoudis which you can find HERE please do not use without proper license.
Scrapkit is Genie Magik by Cora at Pimp’d my Design and can be found HERE
Genie Magic Template by Me which you can find HERE
Font of Choice – I am using My Organization
Plugin – EyeCandy 4 – Gradient Glow
Sparkle of Choice
Ok lets begin
1.     Open my template, duplicate and delete the original. Delete the Copyright layer
2.     Highlight the Background rectangle layer, select all, float and defloat.
3.     Open Pd11-pp-08 paper, copy and paste as a new layer, invert and delete, Deselect. Delete the original layer.
4.     Add a drop shadow of 1,-1,65,4 then change to -1,1,65,4.
5.     I am keeping all the frames the colour that they come with the added noise but if you wish to change their colour then highlight each frame and either change manually or by floodfill then add your own noise.
6.     Open Pd11-pp-06 and resize by 85%, highlight left hand background, select all, float, defloat and copy paper as a new layer, invert delete. Deselect and delete the original
7.     Keeping paper 06 open highlight right hand background, select all, float, defloat and copy paper as a new layer, invert delete. Deselect and delete the original.
8.     Open Pd11-pp-07 and resize by 85%, highlight Oval, select all, float, defloat and paste paper as a new layer, move slightly up so you have the palace at the bottom of the shape. Invert delete Deselect and delete the original.
9.     Open Pd11-pp-02 and resize by 85% twice, highlight the left side square, select all, float, defloat  and paste paper as a new layer, move into place Invert and delete. Deselect and delete the original.
10.                         Keeping your paper open highlight the right side square, select all, float, defloat and paste paper as a new layer, move into place Invert and delete. Deselect and delete the original.
11.                         Open your close up tube, then highlight your right paper, select all, float, defloat and paste your tube into the square. Change the blend mode to screen. Duplicate and mirror, making sure it fits it left side square.
12.                         Add sparkle of choice to both sides of the tube close up.
13.                         Open Pd11-pp-10 and resize by 85% twice, highlight the right hand star background, select all, float, defloat and paste paper as a new layer, Invert and delete. Deselect and delete the original. Duplicate and mirror and delete the left side star background original.
14.                         Open Pd11-Print04 and resize by 70%, copy and paste placing it near the bottom of the tag.
15.                         Open Pd11-Print02 and resize by 65% copy and paste as a new layer between the star layer and the Genie’s lamp. Move up so that it looks as though its coming out of the lamp.
16.                         Open your tube of choice, resize by 90%, copy and paste as a new layer above the Genie’s lamp making it look like she’s coming out of the spout.
17.                         Open Pd11-Flower03 and resize by 35% copy and paste moving to the right hand frame, duplicate and mirror.
18.                         Add your Name and Copyright and Save as a png.
