Popping in

Just to let you all know i am still about just been a bit down. Tomorrow i am putting in a few new Valentine tuts that i've got stuck in my head but its too late to start writing them now. You will see alot more Tutorials coming on here using Purples Kits as i am now a CT for her woohoo, am so over the moon because Purples kits are beautiful. The Misfits blogtrain is going great aswell, am acutally tempted to make a few more kits will see if i can tempt myself enough lol.

Genie in the Magic Lamp

Genie in the Magic Lamp

 


This tutorial is my own creation and was written by me on the 22nd January 2012. Any resemblance to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
You will need a good knowledge of Paint shop pro
Supplies needs
Paint Shop Pro – I am using psp9 but It can be done in any PSP
Tube of choice, I am using Elias Chatzoudis which you can find HERE please do not use without proper license.
Scrapkit is Genie Magik by Cora at Pimp’d my Design and can be found HERE
Genie Magic Template by Me which you can find HERE
Font of Choice – I am using My Organization
Plugin – EyeCandy 4 – Gradient Glow
Sparkle of Choice
Ok lets begin
1.     Open my template, duplicate and delete the original. Delete the Copyright layer
2.     Highlight the Background rectangle layer, select all, float and defloat.
3.     Open Pd11-pp-08 paper, copy and paste as a new layer, invert and delete, Deselect. Delete the original layer.
4.     Add a drop shadow of 1,-1,65,4 then change to -1,1,65,4.
5.     I am keeping all the frames the colour that they come with the added noise but if you wish to change their colour then highlight each frame and either change manually or by floodfill then add your own noise.
6.     Open Pd11-pp-06 and resize by 85%, highlight left hand background, select all, float, defloat and copy paper as a new layer, invert delete. Deselect and delete the original
7.     Keeping paper 06 open highlight right hand background, select all, float, defloat and copy paper as a new layer, invert delete. Deselect and delete the original.
8.     Open Pd11-pp-07 and resize by 85%, highlight Oval, select all, float, defloat and paste paper as a new layer, move slightly up so you have the palace at the bottom of the shape. Invert delete Deselect and delete the original.
9.     Open Pd11-pp-02 and resize by 85% twice, highlight the left side square, select all, float, defloat  and paste paper as a new layer, move into place Invert and delete. Deselect and delete the original.
10.                         Keeping your paper open highlight the right side square, select all, float, defloat and paste paper as a new layer, move into place Invert and delete. Deselect and delete the original.
11.                         Open your close up tube, then highlight your right paper, select all, float, defloat and paste your tube into the square. Change the blend mode to screen. Duplicate and mirror, making sure it fits it left side square.
12.                         Add sparkle of choice to both sides of the tube close up.
13.                         Open Pd11-pp-10 and resize by 85% twice, highlight the right hand star background, select all, float, defloat and paste paper as a new layer, Invert and delete. Deselect and delete the original. Duplicate and mirror and delete the left side star background original.
14.                         Open Pd11-Print04 and resize by 70%, copy and paste placing it near the bottom of the tag.
15.                         Open Pd11-Print02 and resize by 65% copy and paste as a new layer between the star layer and the Genie’s lamp. Move up so that it looks as though its coming out of the lamp.
16.                         Open your tube of choice, resize by 90%, copy and paste as a new layer above the Genie’s lamp making it look like she’s coming out of the spout.
17.                         Open Pd11-Flower03 and resize by 35% copy and paste moving to the right hand frame, duplicate and mirror.
18.                         Add your Name and Copyright and Save as a png.

This tutorial was written by Me on the 22nd January 2012, any resemblance to other tutorials is purely coincidental. Please follow my TOU and when downloading leave some love as its nice to be nice.
For this tutorial you will need a good working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro and
A tube of Choice, or the one I am using which is by Ismael Rac and you can find it HERE
Scrapkit is by Purple and is FTU You can find it HERE
Mask of choice or the one I made which you can get Here just right click and save to your folder
Font of choice – I used Big Fish Ensemble
Plugins – Xero - Mistifier

1.     Open a new image 725 x 600

2.     Open PK-AMM-Paper10  and resize by 85% twice, copy and paste as a New Layer

3.     Add Mask of choice or mine, Source Luminance, Fit to Layer, Hide all Mask. Delete mask layer and Merge Group

4.     Open PK-AMM-Frame2 resize by 85%  and paste as a new layer to your  image, rotate by 12% to the right.

5.     With your magic wand click inside the frame and expand by 6 then Open PK-AMM-Paper3 and resize by 85% twice, copy and paste as new layer then Invert  and delete the excess paper.  Do not deselect

6.      Open your tube of choice close up and copy then paste as a new layer and put inbetween your paper and frame , delete excess and deselect.

7.     Go to Plugins Xero Mistifier default settings then go to Properties and change to Overlay, Opacity 75%.

8.     Open PK-AMM-Treasure2 and resize by 85% twice, sharpen then copy and paste as a new layer placing to the bottom right hand side.

9.      Open PK-AMM-Crates and resize by 85% twice then copy and paste as a new layer placing towards the top of the frame behind the Treasure chest.

10.                         Open PK-AMM-Skulls and resize by 55% copy and paste as a new layer and place in front of the skulls add a drop shadow of 2,-2, 45,3

11.                         Open PK-AMM-Anchor1 resize by 60%, copy and paste as a new layer and place next to the skulls so it looks as though its leaning on the crates and skulls. Add a drop shadow as before.

12.                         Open PK-AMM-Parrot resize by 60%, copy and paste as a new layer and place in the top right corner of the frame as though its about to fly over. Add a drop shadow as before

13.                         Open your tube and resize by 85%, copy and paste as a new layer and place on the left side, add a drop shadow as before

14.                         Add your name and Copyright, resize then save as a png.

Colour My World - Tutorial

Colour My World

 This tutorial was written by Me on the 21st January 2012. This is all my own idea's and if it resembles any other tutorial then its purely coincidental.
 For this tutorial you will need to have a basic knowledge of working with layers and Paintshop Pro
Needed for this Tutorial
Tube of Choice or the one I am using is from Xeracx and is free to use. You must have a license to use his tube which you can get HERE.
Scrapkit is Colour My World by Purple which is FTU and you can get it HERE
Template which is made by Me and you can find it HERE
Remember to leave Love when downloading things as its always nice to be nice
Plugins – Xero Fritillary, Porcelain, Mistifier
                DBS Flux – Bright Noise
Font of Choice or one I am using which is Paint Peel and can be found HERE 
Ok are you ready then lets begin


1. Open up Template, Duplicate and close the original then delete the Copyright and TOU layer

2. Highlight  your left background frame and selections float, selections defloat add a new layer then add either a paper from the kit or a colour from your tube, I used a colour from my tube #fa4371 then flood fill your layer.

3. Do the same for the Right Layer then Merge down your frame backgrounds

4. Add noise to the frames, I used DBS Flux Bright Noise settings Intensity 40, Mix but Add Noise works just as good if you don’t have this plugin. Delete the original

5. Merge your right and left frame together then Selections float selections defloat and paste Paper PK-CMW-Paper11 as a new layer, resize by 85% twice, selections invert Delete. Delete the Original

6. Add Plugin Xero Fritillary settings 7,30,10,8.

7. Highlight the Oval Background, select all, float, defloat then add the same colour used previously.

8. Add noise to frames as previously used. Delete the original.

9. Open PK-CMW-Paper6 and resize by 85% twice, then highlight your Oval layer, selections all, float, defloat and paste the paper as a new layer, selections invert Delete. Delete the original layer.

10. Open PK-CMW-Paper10 and resize by 85% twice, then highlight your Heart layer, selections float, defloat and paste the paper as a new layer, selections invert Delete. Do no deselect yet.

11. Take your tube of choice and paste as a new layer over the heart and paper layer and once you have it where you want press delete again. Now deselect and delete your original.

12. Change the properties of the tube to Overlay.

13. Open PK-CMW-Paper13 and resize by 85% twice then highlight your small oval frame background, selection all, float, defloat and paste your paper as a new layer, invert delete. Delete original layer

14. Highlight your Small oval frame layer then click with your magic wand on the left side, paste your tube as a new layer, then invert delete to get rid of any tube hanging out the frame. Do the same for the right side of the frame and leave the middle one clear.

15. Merge your two tube layers together then go to Xero Porcelain default settings then Xero Mistifier default settings and change the properties to Overlay.

16. Highlight the Small Oval frame layer, Selections all, float, defloat then add a new layer and flood fill with the previous colour used. Add noise and delete the original layer.

17. Highlight the Text background layer Selections all, float, defloat. Add a new layer and flood fill with a colour of choice, I used the colour from the template, Add noise and if not used delete the original layer.

18. Highlight the Text, Selections all, float, defloat add a new layer and flood fill with a colour of choice, I used #08b5f7,selections none. Delete the original layer.

19. Highlight the World text then go to Adjust, Colour Balance, Manuel Colour correction, change the colour to one that stands out.

20. Merge the Text layers together and X out for the Moment.

21. Open the tube you are using, and if using the same tube as me resize 85% twice, paste as a new layer then mirror and place down the bottom right side. Add Drop Shadow 1,1,60 and 3.

22. Open PK-CMW-Skull1 and resize 40% copy and paste as a new layer and place on the left side of the square frame. Duplicate and mirror.

23. Open PK-CMW-Easel and resize by 40% then 80%, copy and paste onto your image and place where desired. Add drop Shadow 1,1,60 and 3.

24. Open PK-CMW-Wordart2 and resize by 20%, copy and paste as a new layer and place onto the easel.

25. Open PK-CMW-Handprint4 and resize by 20%, copy and paste as a new layer and place at the bottom left side of easel.

26. Open PK-CMW-Handprint2, resize by 20%, mirror then copy and paste as a new layer and place at the top right side of the easel.

27. Open the paint pots from your tube and resize by 70% then place them underneath the easel and tube.

28 Open PK-CMW-Paintcan1, resize by 20% and place with the paintcans.

29. Unhide your text layer and move slightly so that you can read what it says but it still looks good.

30. Add your name, then Copyright and Save as a png

That’s it your done hope you found this easy to follow and that you enjoyed doing it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Blogtrain for Misfits

Trying to learn more

Hi everyone, am looking for tutorials to teach me how to use blogger and also how to put in my blinkie which i have made just don't know how to add, so please please bare with me while i get myself accustomed to using this site. But on the news front, Creative Misfits have a blog train coming out of the Station on the 23rd January and am in the middle of making a few scraps to add to the train. When the train takes off i will post in here aswell as on the Misfits blog which i will put the link in on the 23rd. So keep your eyes open alot of new plans happening here with some more templates, tuts, masks and wordart coming your way.

New Tutorial - Cityscape at Night

Finally got around to writing a new Tutorial. This tutorial was written by me on 3rd January 2012 and is my own idea any resemblance is purely coincidental. All supplies were made by me unless stipulated, please direct people to my blog to download and they are not to be used in any other tutorial without asking first. Heres what we are going to be making
For this you will need
Psp and Animation shop, i am using psp9 but any psp will do
Tube of choice, i am using the awesome artwork of Keith Garvey, to use his work you need a license. You can get his tubes HERE
Plugin - Gradient Glow
Mura Meister-Copies
Supplies
Cityscape Mask
Midnight Blue Gradient
Black and White Gradient
Moon
You can find the supplies HERE
Put Gradients into your Psp Gradient folder and Mask into your Mask folder
Font of choice - I used Amethyst Script
Animation of Choice-I used IgBlueBurst - By Lovey

Ok lets get started

1. Open a new image 600x250

2. Paste tube close up as a new layer and resize by 85%. Copy and place to the right hand side of the image. Hide copy

3. Go back to the original tube layer, then go to Mura Meister copies, Wallpaper rotate default settings. Then Adjust Blur, Radial Blur with settings below:-


4. Add a new layer and flood fill with Midnight Blue gradient, then change the blend mode to Overlay.

5. Open the moon tube in Psp and copy then paste as a new layer in your image. Move to the lefthand side of the image.

6. Add a new layer and flood fill with the Black and White gradient. Go to layers Load/Save Mask-Load Mask from Disk and look for the Cityscape mask
Click load then delete mask layer merge group. Add a drop shadow of -1, 1, 60 and 2 to the mask layer.

7. Unhide your copy tube layer and add a medium Gradient Glow then Drop Shadow same as above.

8. Crop your image back to 600x250

9. Add a new layer then Selections select all, Modify-Contrast by 4. Selections invert and flood fill with #363690. Deselect.

10. Add your Copyright and License number then add your name using your preferred font and the same colour used for your frame.

If you don't want to animate save as a png image

TO ANIMATE

11. Hide all your layers apart from Layer 1 and 2, these are your blurred tube layer and the Midnight blue layer.

12. Right click and Copy Merged. Take over to Animation shop and paste as a new animation.

13. Open your animation and if using the same as me resize 85% x 3.

14. Click back onto your image that you bought over from psp to make it active, then ctrl, shift and L and click on the L until you have 20 layers.

15. Click back onto the animation, Ctrl A, Ctrl C then click your image layers Ctrl A, Ctrl E. Place the animation near the middle of your image.

16. Back to Psp, hide layers 1 and 2 and unhide all other layers, Right click copy merged and take over to animation shop and paste as a new animation.

17. Make your image have 20 layers by Ctrl Shift and L, clicking the L till you have the layers you require.

18. Ctrl A, Ctrl C and click onto the animated background layers, Ctrl A, Ctrl E and place onto your background.

19. Check your animation and once your happy with it save as a Gif.

New Template - Its a Christmas Party

I did this template as part of the Challenges for Creative Misfits, we had to make a tag using those words and i thought hey why not make a template. Meant to put it in here before Christmas but Real life took over, so am putting it in now and hoping you can find a use for it lol. Don't forget to follow the TOU and above all else have fun!!

Happy New Year

Its been awhile i know and am so sorry about this, but my New Years Resolution is to get this up and running more lol. Real life has been a bit of a pita again at the moment, Alex and i split up just before Christmas and now am having hassle with the girls Dad but hopefully a trip to the solicitor on Thursday will get that sorted. Anyway i know its a bit late but i made a new template and have also written a new tutorial. Will get them uploaded to 4 shared then put them in here
